Duratec & MZR Cam and Crank Timing Tool Set
The GOLD standard in cam and crank timing tools!
These cam and crank alignment tool set fits 4-cylinder Duratec (2.0L, 2.3L, and 2.5L) and Mazda MZR (2.0L, 2.3L, and 2.5L) port injected engines. For direct injected engines a different cam and crank alignment tool set would be used. Our timing tools are precision machined on our CNC lathe and mill from premium US sourced steel to exacting tolerances (+/- .001"). Some tools on the market are machined with looser tolerances from sub-par material which ends up allowing for slight variances in cam and/ or ignition timing and thus have the potential for power loss. The gold zinc plating is durable and long lasting unlike the black oxide coating used by some other tool suppliers which can rust. One last key feature that sets our cam alignment tool apart from the rest is the built in threads to hold your Crank Timing TDC tool so it doesn't get lost in your toolbox! No need for a plastic tool holder that cracks easily when you can just screw the TDC tool into the cam alignment tool and they will be together the next time you need them!
*** Cam timing plate should not be left in the groove on the back of the cams while the final torque is made on the cam gear bolts. This tool is for aligning the cams, NOT for holding them from rotating while tightening the cam gear bolts! ***
