Rods: Manley Sportsmaster 5.7" w/ ARP bolts
Pistons: Esslinger spec custom made for us by Racetec Pistons with .960" compression height, and .927" wristpins
Rings: Nitrided steel 1.2mm top rings, Napier 1.5mm second rings, and 3mm low drag oil rings
Bore size 3.820" (+.040" over)
This rod and piston kit is designed for normally aspirated engines using OEM heads, or heads with OEM valve locations like the Esslinger Aluminum D-port and Esslinger SVO heads. Not for use with turbo or superchargers. Max recommended rpm for this kit is 8200rpm. We have sold thousands of this kit over the years, it is super reliable and makes great power on a 2500 engine. The 1/2" longer rods reduce cylinder wall loading (reduced friction), and allow the use of way lighter pistons to reduce the reciprocating weight for a faster revving engine!
