Over the past couple years we've seen more engine failures from improperly made oil tanks than ever before! We sat down with Peterson and together were able to come up with the best tank design for use with our engines. The baffling that Peterson has perfected is second to none and virtually eliminates the "oil pushed out the breather" issues that plague many of their competitors. Another benefit of this new tank are the correct -12AN line connection on the suction and -16AN for the scavenge return used on our BB7 & F2 engines. With a compact height of 24" from cap (top)to plug (bottom), it's easy to mount.
We are often asked why we recommend a 2pc oil tank.. It's simple really, YOU CAN'T CLEAN THE INSIDE OF A 1PC TANK! So that means if you hurt an engine, you are forced to purchase another improperly made tank! With a 2pc tank, you can dis-assemble it and clean all the little tiny particles out of the tank so they don't contaminate your fresh engine!
