Rear Sump Duratec/ Ecoboost Rear Wheel Drive Swap Oilpan & Pick-up Tube
Our fabricated oilpans feature extra thick flanges, super slim shallow end depth for extra crossmember clearance. The simple yet effective baffle design works to keep oil in the sump and near the pick-up tube under braking, and hard cornering.
This oilpan has been test fit in and works in Foxbody cars (Mustang, Fairmont, LTD, and Thunderbird). Should also work in Rangers as well as many other rear wheel drive vehicles that have their steering on the front of the spindles.
Oil Capacity: 7qts using Focus RS 2.3L Ecoboost Dipstick
Sump depth: 6-1/2"
Shallow depth: 2"
Sump begins 9-3/8" back from the front of the block
Options include an centered oilpump pick-up tube designed for either street/strip/offroad type use, or an offset pick-up tube for circletrack use!
Oilpan comes with stainless steel studs & flanged nyloc nuts for the front timing cover and a trick o-ringed allen style drain plug.
The pick-up tubes included with this oilpan are designed to work with the 2.5L Duratec and 2.0L/2.3L Ecoboost oilpumps, NOT the smaller 2.0L and 2.3L non-VCT oilpumps!
For Ford Duratec engines with the dipstick that goes down through the valvecover, and 2.0L & 2.3L Ecoboost engines, we strongly recommend using the Ford Mustang 2.3L Ecoboost dipstick (Ford part number FR3E-6750-BA) with this oilpan to set the oil level correctly. This is a 20-15/16" long dipstick with the full indicator positioned at 19-7/8" down from the bottom of the flange on the handle.
