This is the crank we use in our 2.3L stroker shortblocks in a 2L block!
We start with a brand new forged crankshaft, and machine the snout for a 5mm wide key to locate the timing chain drive gear and damper pulley. Next, we grind the rod journals to fit a standard 2.0L Duratec rod journal size (1.8500"). As an option, we can heat treat the crank with the same exact process we use on our Billet crankshafts to increase the toughness of the crank and extend the life under the added stress of high rpm, a turbo, or nitrous! Once all this is done we high speed balance the crank for smoothness and worry free high rpm use!
No high-rpm or high-horsepower engine should be assembled without a keyed and heat treated forged crank!
