Fits 2006-2015 Mazda MX5 cars with any Duratec 4-cylinder engine. These oilpans can be used in street, roadrace, drag, drift, and circletrack racecars. Features a built in windage tray to reduce oil foaming and blowby as well as oil control baffles and multiple trapdoors to keep oil around the pick-up tube in high-G situations. Uses the factory Mazda pick-up tube. Oil volume is increased to approximately 6-1/2qt. in the system plus any external lines or coolers if used.
***** These oilpans require trimming the pick-up tube depth to set clearance from the bottom of the pan. This is easily done with a disc sander, and is common practice on all race engines to maintain 5/16"-3/8" clearance from the bottom of the pan so that there is no restriction on the pump inlet (if the pick-up tube is too close to the pan), or reduced controlled oil volume available (if the pick-up tube is too far from the pan) *****
Oil level is set using the factory MX5 dipstick in cars with the 2L block, or use Mazda dipstick pn# PE07-10-450 with the taller 2.3L & 2.5L blocks .
